Dr Vanessa Hunt

Are you feeling worried? Low in mood? Stressed? Overwhelmed? Experiencing flashbacks?

Do you want things to change? Then let's talk about it...

My name is Vanessa and I provide individual therapy for mental health difficulties. I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and specialise in working with mood difficulties. I also have vast experience of working with people who are neuro-diverse.

My therapy style uses a mix of different therapies that I adapt to your needs and goals. This includes: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic informed Therapy (CAT), flash technique (trauma), EMDR (trauma) and other person-centred approaches.

Meet Vanessa

Thank you for popping by my website! If you haven't already guessed, my name is Vanessa and i'm a Clinical Psychologist. I have spent my career helping other people to work towards their goals and improve their mental wellbeing. I appreciate therapy can be daunting and speaking to other people about your difficulties is not an easy step to make. We can work together to understand  what has been going on for you and how your difficulties have been impacting on your quality of life. Once we have got to know each other we would come up with a bespoke plan and an intervention to help you meet your goal. I will guide you through this and we will go on the journey together!

I would like to think of myself as quite down to earth and a bit of a country bumpkin. I'm not a true Yorkie but a Yorkshire Lass none the less! I love my new home town as it's close enough to a city but far away enough to appreciate the countryside. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family which includes our pets... we have too many to name but our dogs Dave and Archie keep me busy!
